The World History Textbooks that I mentioned back in December and which feature my photos on the cover were released last month and can now be found in various college bookstores, or at my friend Andy’s textbook publishing site. The cover photo on Volume I (at left) is my photo from the ancient Nabatean capitol at Petra, Jordan (January, 2006) and the cover photo on Volume II (at right) is my photo from the Incan city of Macchu Piccu near Cuszco, Peru (December, 2003). Both volumes contain a handful of additional photos which I have taken from some of my other Vagabum adventures.

I have been interested in the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World for the past 5 years or so now and have done some reading and Internet research on them on a number of occasions. This research led to my trip to Egypt in late 2005 / early 2006 when I visited the only one of those ancient wonders still standing - The Great Pyramid of Giza and the general site of The Alexandria Lighthouse (collapsed around 1100 AD/CE).

For those who forgot your schooling and need an educational refresher, the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World (aka 7 Ancient Wonders) WERE (in antiquity) as follows:
